چکیده
The observed abundance diversities among CEMP stars can shed light on the formation and evolution of elements in early Galaxy. In this work, we present results obtained from a detailed analysis sample seven extrinsic carbon stars. is based high-resolution spectra with HCT/HESP (R∼60,000) SUBARU/HDS (R∼50,000). We present, for first time, elemental objects BD−19 132, 290, HE 1304−2111, 1354−2257, BD+19 3109. Abundances few are available literature 1157−0518 HD 202851; an update abundances these along new estimates several other elements. Our confirms object 202851 to be CH star. While 3109 found CEMP-s stars, 1157−0518, 1304−2111 belong CEMP-r/s group. patterns three well reproduced i-process model predictions. confirmed binaries, binary status remaining not known. Analysis different ratios low-mass former AGB companions all objects. Kinematic shows that Galactic halo, whereas members thin disk.

Low - mass companions to Hyades stars ∗
It is now well established that a large fraction of the low-mass stars are binaries or higher order multiples. Similarly a sizable fraction have giant planets. In contrast to these, the situation for brown dwarf companions is complicated: While close systems seem to be extremely rare, wide systems are possibly more common. In this paper, we present new results on a survey for low-mass companion...
متن کاملLow-Mass Companions to Solar-Type Stars
We present preliminary results from a coronagraphic survey of young nearby Sun-like stars using the Palomar and Keck adaptive optics systems. We have targeted 251 solar analogs (F5–K5) at 20–160 pc from the Sun, spanning the 3–3000 Myr age range. The youngest (<500 Myr) ≈100 of these have been imaged with deeper exposures to search for sub-stellar companions. The deep survey is sensitive to bro...
متن کاملMass loss and very low-metallicity stars
Mass loss plays a dominant role in the evolution of massive stars at solar metallicity. After discussing different mass loss mechanisms and their metallicity dependence, we present the possibility of strong mass loss at very low metallicity. Our models at Z = 10−8 show that stars more massive than about 60 M⊙ may lose a significant fraction of their initial mass in the red supergiant phase. Thi...
متن کاملLow - Metallicity Star Formation : From the First Stars to
Metal-free stars are assumed to evolve at constant mass because of the very low stellar winds. This leads to large CO-core mass at the end of the evolution, so primordial stars with an initial mass between 25 and 85 M are expected to end as direct black holes, the explosion energy being too weak to remove the full envelope. We show that when rotation enters into play, some mass is lost because ...
متن کاملCompanions of old brown dwarfs , and very low mass stars ⋆
Up to now, most planet search projects have concentrated on F to K stars. In order to considerably widen the view, we have stated a survey for planets of old, nearby brown dwarfs and very low mass stars. Using UVES, we have observed 26 brown dwarfs and very low mass stars. These objects are quite inactive and are thus highly suitable for such a project. Two objects were found to be spectroscopi...
